This book was written smack in the middle of a world crisis of epic proportions — the COVID-19 health crisis. The crisis tested the skills of some of the best leaders in those industries most impacted by the crisis — healthcare, hospitality, real estate, education, transportation, and many others. Our in-depth interviews with CEOs and other senior leaders in these businesses revealed the biggest challenges they faced and how they dealt with them, what positive outcomes they were able to create under highly stressful conditions, what mistakes and miscalculations they made, and what leadership lessons were learned during this time. It was these leadership lessons that they have carried forward and will make them more successful leaders in the future.
