My novel is fictional manifesto embedded in the story of a scientist turned political activist who explores a method of unifying the public to improve the social consciousness of government and prevent the rise of tyrants who may threaten human extinction. It asks whether we might use advances in the behavioral and natural sciences to seize our destiny or must leave our future to the vagaries of nature or fated day of Biblical prophecy. To further human survival, his group proposes a transformative, developmentally informed educational program coupled with the possible use of gene therapy over multiple generations. Their ultimate aim is to promote a collective effort to ensure international safety and security in an otherwise perilous world bereft of moral altruism and social cohesiveness. The author calls for further ideas on the subject and the creation of a self-sustaining organization called "People's Will" to implement them. After all, billions of heads must be better than one.
